The streets were flooded with more than 12,000 runners, walkers, and wheelchair racers who turned out for the five-mile run, which started around 9 a.m.
The 42nd annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade, also known as the "Rite of Spring," started at noon at 18th and Market and ended at Broadway and Market at Kiener Plaza.
