Jupiter, Florida (KMOV.com) -- KMOV.com's Brian Feldman is in Jupiter, Florida covering the Cardinals and is posting regular updates from spring training.

1:46 p.m. –Salas has a great first inning of work but walked 2 in his second. That would be NINE walks total today for the Cards. 9! Brutal. Though 5 did come from one guy (Kelly).

1:40 p.m. -- Phil Coke shutting down these Redbirds today. Wow. No one doing much of anything. Except Holliday. 1 hit and another hard hit out. I've always like Coke. Good pitcher for the Yankees.

1:34 p.m. -- Matt Carpenter in the game...in right field, folks. The crash course of being a potential utility guy begins.

1:27 p.m.
-- Allen Craig Ks looking with runners on 1st and 2nd. That ends the inning with Pujols on deck. Oh that's the worst. Albert could've hit with the bases loaded.

1:14 p.m. --The nightmare is over for Joe Kelly. After 5 walks in a row he gets out of the inning. The crowd was even giving sarcastic cheers for strikes.

1:10 p.m. -- Nightmare of an inning for Joe Kelly. 3 runs and still the bases loaded with 2 outs. 5 walks. Yadi and Albert even try and help out with the pickoff play but Kelly threw a wild pitch. Not good. Action in bullpen.

1:02 p.m. -- Another rough inning for Joe Kelly. Nearly hit several guys. A tad disappointing Spring Training for him thus far. One of the Cardinals better prospects.

12:55 p.m. -- Cabrera homers off new pitcher Joe Kelly. I heard some players say last time Kelly pitched (Fort Myers) he was tipping his pitches really really badly.

12:51 p.m. -- Wow. Freese gets robbed on a great play by 3rd baseman Danny Worth. Turns 2 on him also. Hard hit ball though. I think I'm yet to see Freese not hit a ball hard.

12:47 p.m. -- Berkman goes down swinging right-handed. He needs as many ABs vs lefties as he can get. Hasn't faced too many so far in camp.

12:44 p.m. -- Also...Dave Duncan apparently took a foul ball in his nose earlier today during Carpenter's BP. Might've had face too close to screen. Word is he's okay and back out on the field.

12:42 p.m. --Lynn gets out of the 2nd unharmed. Pitched much better than the 1st. Good velocity, good movement it seems. Cards need him as insurance starter. Odds are he WILL get some starts in St. Louis.

12:24 p.m. --Lance Lynn having a rough first inning. Allowed a couple runs on 3 hits. This happened last year too. Great first start before regressing.

12:14 p.m. --Miguel Cabrera gets a lukewarm reception at the dish. Then just crushes an RBI double to right. Craig makes an admirable attempt but comes up short. Hey...say what you want about Cabrera and his off field issues but he can play.

12:11 p.m. -- Carpenter, by the way, officially starting Wednesday in Lakeland. Said
he felt good today after 61 pitches.

12:05 p.m. -- Completely packed house (standing room only) here at Roger Dean. Makes sense now that we're well into March. Typical time for vacations, spring breaks, etc...

12:02 p.m. -- It's only 64 degrees here today and pretty windy. By far the worst so far in my 3+ weeks.

11:05 a.m. -- The lineup for Detroit today consists of Will Rhymes at 2nd...Don Kelly in CF...Magglio Ordonez at RF...Miguel Cabrera at 1st...Victor Martinez catching...Brennan Boesch is the DH...Jhonny Peralta at SS...Casper Wells in LF...and Danny Worth is the 3rd baseman. Phil Coke starts on the mound.

9:48 a.m. -- Tigers arrive. Albert gives a giant hug to Jim Leyland.

9:47 a.m. -- Siegal throwing now. Struggling just a little. But getting it over enough to give BP. Getting in a groove now though.

9:19 a.m. -- Carpenter throwing live batting practice right now. Still on pace to start next Wednesday.

9:07 a.m. -- Pretty cool. 36 year old named Justine Siegal is throwing batting practice to a few Cardinals today. She's going around to any camps that let her to do this. Goal is to show that baseball is a game for anyone...not just men. Throwing to Freese, Schumaker and Theriot.

8:26 a.m. -- Chris Carpenter on the schedule to throw live BP at 10:15.

8:07 a.m. -- Lineup: Theriot 6...Craig 9...Pujols 3...Holliday 7...Berkman DH...Freese 5...Rasmus 8...Molina 2...Schumaker 4. Lance Lynn is the starting pitcher.
