MetroLink trains to shut down Sunday morning, bus shuttle

MetroLink trains will not run Sunday, March 13, between the Emerson Park and Fairview Heights stations.

Services will only be disrupted until noon. The closure is due to Illinois Department of Transportation construction on I-64.

Customers will be shuttled by bus between the Emerson Park and Fairview Heights MetroLink Stations

Blue Line Service will only operate from the Shrewsbury MetroLink Station to the Civic Center  MetroLink stop during the adjusted service period. Customers who need to continue to travel east can board a Red Line train at the Civic Center station.

Red Line Service will operate between the Lambert Terminal #1 MetroLink Station to the Emerson Park MetroLink Station. It will also run from the Fairview Heights MetroLink Station to the Shiloh-Scott MetroLink stop

Customers should expect delays Sunday morning and are advised to allow extra time during commutes.
