ST. LOUIS (KMOV) -- Some St. Louis residents have had it with what Laclede Gas has done to their street. An unfinished excavation along the 5000 block of Ruskin in north St. Louis. Five large holes sit partially covered posing a safety hazard.
It's been like this since mid January they say. A board is the only safety barrier. They're filled with water and there's no telling how deep they are.
One resident said he's been calling Laclede Gas since February 23rd about site. He is still waiting on an answer. News 4 went to Laclede Gas for the answers residents say they couldn't get.
Laclede said that work stopped on Ruskin because of winter weather. They said they do plan to be out there Tuesday morning to finally finish the job.
EDITOR'S NOTE: Since this story aired, fresh repairs have been made to the holes in the ground.
