Services set for 2 students electrocuted on farm

OKAWVILLE, Ill. (AP) -- A tiny southern Illinois farming community is saying its farewells to its high school's senior class president and another popular classmate electrocuted last week while they worked on a farm.

Visitation for 19-year-old Nick Bledsoe and 18-year-old Justin Eldridge was scheduled from 3 to 8 p.m. Monday in Okawville Junior-Senior High School's gymnasium, where services for both were planned for 9 a.m. Tuesday. Burial was to be in separate cemeteries.
Bledsoe and Eldridge died Thursday night when they accidentally moved an aluminum irrigation pipe into an overhead power line while trying to free a raccoon inside the tube.
The Washington County school district has roughly 550 students, with just four dozen or so in their senior class. Bledsoe was the class president.
