(KMOV) -- Two young men are dead after being electrocuted.

The incident happend around 9:00 p.m. on Thursday at Elm Farms on Bottom Prairie Road in Okawville, Illinois.

Witnesses tell the Washington County Sheriff's Department that Nicholas Bledsoe, 19 and Justin Eldridge, 18, were working on the farm when they saw a raccoon run inside a 30 foot irrigation pipe.

The teens tried to free the raccoon by picking up the pipe. The pipe came in contact with an overhead power line and electrocuted both young men.

Bledsoe and Eldridge were tranported to a local hospital where they were pronounced dead.

Officials say this is the second tragedy in just a few weeks. Dylan Boozer, 18, of Nashville died after an automobile accident in the same area.
