Up to $10,000 reward offered for arrest in Fairview Heights bank robbery

(KMOV)-- Police are searching for a suspect accused of robbing a bank in Fairview Heights, Illinois.

According to the Fairview Heights Police Department, a suspect walked into the US Bank located at 6701 North Illinois Street around 9:30 a.m. Monday and handed a note to a teller. The note demanded money and indicated that the suspect was armed with a gun. No weapon was displayed during the robbery and no injuries were reported.

After receiving an undetermined amount of money, the suspect fled from the bank on foot in a westbound direction.

The suspect was described as a 5’8” to 5’10” dark skinned black male in his mid to late 20’s with some facial hair. He was wearing dark pants, a white long sleeved button up shirt, a black ball cap and sunglasses.

US Bank is offering up to a $10,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the suspect.  Anyone having information is asked to call the Fairview Heights Police at (618) 489-2100.
