VANDALIA, Ill. (AP) -- A 15-year-old southern Illinois boy accused as an adult of gunning down two neighbors wants his $2 million bond reduced.
Clifford Baker is scheduled to appear Wednesday for a hearing in Fayette County Circuit Court in Vandalia. He's facing first-degree murder and home invasion charges.
Authorities contend Baker shot 53-year-old Debra Tish and 60-year-old John Mahon four times each in August in the tiny community of Loogootee.
A judge has ordered that Baker undergo a psychiatric evaluation, and he's petitioned through his attorney to have his bond lowered.
Baker is jailed at a Madison County juvenile detention center.
