Police searching for man accused of kidnapping 5-year-old son
Antonio Robinson, wanted by police for allegedly kidnapping his 5-year-old son on September 6, 2010.
(KMOV) – A 5-year-old boy is now safe with his mother after being missing for most of Monday.
Authorities say Davontee Robinson’s father took him during a domestic dispute at a home near Acme and Johanna streets. He reportedly does not have custody of the child, and according to the boy’s mother, he has a history of violence.
Police say the suspect, Antonio Robinson, was recently released from prison, and also has a criminal past that includes assaulting a police officer.
Davontee was eventually dropped off with a family member, the last in a series of handoffs that went on all day.
Police are looking for Antonio Robinson, and say they’ll turn their evidence over to the prosecuting attorney to determine if Robinson will face a kidnapping charge.
