(KMOV) – On Monday, thousands of local union members marched through downtown St. Louis for the annual Labor Day Parade.
The parade began at 9:00 a.m. at 13th and Olive Streets.
It then made its way down Tucker Street, went past St. Louis City Hall and west on Market Street to 15th Street.
Also on Monday, there was a parade in Granite City.
It started at 10:00 a.m. at 20th and State Streets and traveled down Madison Avenue to Wilson Park.
A picnic for union members and their families followed the parade.
There was a third parade Monday morning in Belleville. It started at 10:00 a.m.
About 40 labor unions and their families marched through downtown Belleville.
The route began in the “Cathedral Grade School” parking lot at South Second and Monroe Streets. It headed north on South Illinois to “C” Street, and ended at Hough Park.
There was a picnic after the parade, for union members and their families.
