Hazelwood East Spartans (0-1)  @ DeSmet Spartans (0-1)
Two of the powerhouse football programs of the St. Louis area tasted defeat in week 1. East was knocked off by the up and coming Pattonville Pirates and DeSmet suffered a tight, late defeat to Hazelwood Central.
DeSmet lost more than the game as key players -Leon Moody, Malcolm Agnew, and Durron Neal suffered injuries. Moody will be lost for the season. Each team is looking to “right their ship” this week as they look to their depth chart to fill or replace some starters in week 1. Matt Judkins & Bob Ryan have the call in this battle of the Spartans!

Waterloo Bulldogs (1-0)   @  Columbia Eagles (1-0)
This early season game brings together two traditionally strong football programs that are just a few miles from each other. Each team demonstrated that they both  have to be considered top ten Small Schools with their impressive opening victories. The Bulldogs handled Freeburg 37-10 while Columbia won a 7-6 squeaker at Sparta.  Get there early or tune in to Prepcasts for all the exciting action as Austin Voelker and Bradford Bruns will bring it all right to you.

Fayetteville, Ark  (0-0)  @ Parkway West (0-1)
The Longhorns invite one the best teams from Arkansas to West for game #2. Dropping a high scoring game to U City last week, Parkway West was down by just a single score at halftime.  With a game under their belt, the Longhorns will have that “little extra” experience as they take on Fayetteville in their opening game.  Expect a high scoring game here !  You won’t have another chance to hear Fayetteville this year as this is their only game against a Missouri team. BJ Schulte & Bob Kodner will be on hand to bring it to you on Prepcasts.

Althoff Crusaders (0-1) vs Belleville West Maroons (1-0)
Belleville Game of the Week! The Maroons offense came out firing last week with 526 total yards! 404 yards were on the ground as West beat Highland 21-7. Meanwhile, Althoff was surprised by a vastly improved Collinsville team 37-20. The Crusaders moved the ball effectively in the air last week. So…it Maroon on the ground, Crusaders through the air—take your pick as you listen to Mike Richter & Ron Block bring it all to you on Prepcasts

Marquette Mustangs (1-0)  @ Oakville Tigers (0-1)
The Mustangs will be opening up their play in the Suburban West at they travel to Oakville. Marquette cruised to a 39-6 victory over Sumner in the opener. A punishing ground game led by Anthony Dudley (3 TD’s)  accounted for 334 yards in the win.  Oakville fell to a very talented Lindbergh team. The leading tacklers of opening week for the Tigers, Brett Carrigan (11 tackles)and Amblessed   Oparaji (10 tackles) will be asked to perform at a high level again. This promises to be a tightly fought contest. Buzz Swanston and Jim Pleimann will be behind the microphones for Prepcasts.

Northwest Lions (0-1) @  Vianney Golden Griffins (0-1)
This game is a non-league contest with the Lions of the Suburban West traveling to Vianney of the MCC. Each team is looking for their first win after rugged opening games. This game presents a very interesting matchup as Vianney, who generally has a potent pass attack and passed for 184 yards last week, will face the Lions pass defense that permitted just 51 passing yards! Andy Zilch and Charlie Meyer will bring it to you on the Prepcasts Broadcasting Network.
