MU reserve tight end arrested for DWI

COLUMBIA, Mo. (AP) -- A reserve tight end for the University of Missouri has been arrested for driving while intoxicated.

The Kansas City Star reports that Beau Brinkley, who is also Missouri's long snapper, was arrested early Sunday in Columbia and charged with DWI. He was also cited for having improperly tinted vehicle windows.

Missouri spokesman Chad Moller said Missouri officials were aware of the situation and disciplinary issues would be handled internally.

Last week, starting tailback and team captain Derrick Washington was indefinitely suspended for undisclosed reasons. Boone County court documents show Washington had been served with a protection order stemming from an incident with a woman.
