(KMOV) -- The economy may seem to be stumbling, but there is a bright spot: car dealers are selling vehicles so fast they can’t keep them in stock.
It’s quite a turn since automakers were shutting down plants, offering huge incentives and cutting production.
At Dave Sinclair Ford, they used to keep 1,400 vehicles on the lot, but now that number is down to 600. That number may start to tick up since dealers are telling automakers they could sell more if they had them.
The economy is starting to creep back up and recalls of foreign cars created more demand for American vehicles.
There is a downside for buyers. You may not get the color or exact style of car you want. On the other hand, it does mean more jobs.
