(KMOV) -- Driving around the metro could be quite a hassle this weekend.

Major repair work is scheduled for two highways in Missouri and one in Illinois. While the work will slow down your weekend plans, it should be finished by Monday morning.

Crews have reopened Westbound Highway 40 over the Boone Bridge.

A portion of eastbound Interstate 64 has been shut down from 20th/Chestnut to the Poplar Street Bridge for more repairs to a bridge deck. The best way to get to Illinois will be to take I-270 or I-255. The Poplar Street Bridge will be open, but two eastbound lanes will be closed.

In Illinois, IDOT closed a section of I-55/70 in both directions to demolish the Exchange Ave. Overpass. The interstate will close just west of Illinois Route 203 to the I-55/70/64 interchange. Drivers can taken I-255 or I-64.

MoDOT had shut down the westbound lanes of the Boone Bridge at 9 p.m. Friday for repair work. They finished the repairs and have opened up the westbound lanes.
