(KMOV) – A new study reveals that texting can be as addictive as a drug.
Doctors are taking a closer look at teens and the texting craze and are finding information that may make parents stop and think.
Dr. Ken Haller of SSM Cardinal Glennon Children’s Medical Center says excessive texting can trigger areas of the brain that can lead to addiction.
One local parent is taking control by setting some texting ground rules, such as not texting at the dinner
table and no texting after 9 p.m.
