(KMOV) -- KMOV.com just received the following news release from the Creve Coeur police department regarding a sobriety checkpoint to be held on September 3.
The Creve Coeur Police Department will conduct a sobriety checkpoint on Friday, September 3rd at an undisclosed location along Olive Boulevard approximately between the hours of 10:00 p.m. and 3:00 a.m.
This special enforcement is designed to make highways safer and to increase public awareness of the hazards of drinking and driving. By removing intoxicated drivers from the roadways we can decrease the potential for motor vehicle accidents.
Normal traffic flow will not be severely interrupted and delays will be minimal. The patience, cooperation, and understanding of all motorists will help make the highways safer for all drivers and passengers.
