(KMOV) -- Condo owners in a west St. Louis County will get a big payday following claims that they were cheated out of money.
Last week, residents in the Woodlake condo development said their properties were lost value because of a new six lane highway nearby.
The Missouri Department of Transportation paid $20,000 worth of noise and view damage to 19 different units in the complex. But even though the money was paid to the condo association, the residents said they hadn't seen any of the money.
After the story aired on Thursday night, the condo owners were contacted two days later and told they would be paid the $20,000 plus interest. That's agrnad total of more than $380,000.
The residents can pick up their checks Friday, August 27.
