(KMOV) – MetroLink will soon have a new director. John Nations will take over in October, and he was instrumental in campaigning for the new sales tax that now has the agency operating in the black.
Nations will step down from his jobs as Chesterfield mayor and as a lawyer with a local firm.
One of Metro’s goals under the new leadership is a 30-year expansion plan, which would take MetroLink coverage into south St. Louis County, Ferguson and Florissant.
Commuters say the would like to see an expansion in several directions, but critics say, it might be too expensive.
