(KMOV) – There could be changes to the way children are graded in one St. Louis County School District.
News 4 has learned the Rockwood School District may change the way homework is factored into the students’ grade.
The last change to the grading policy at the district was in 1977 and that sparked teacher and administrators to start thinking of how to standardize how student earn their grades, especially how homework is calculated. The district is debating three different ways of grading, and only 1 includes homework.
All homework would be scored, but would not be factored into the final grade.
So, what do you think about this change? Should homework be counted towards the final grade or is should it just be considered practice. Take our poll to the right.
