(KMOV) -- Police are looking for a man who might be responsible for multiple robberies across the St. Louis area.

In addition to a robbery at a south St. Louis County credit union, police say the suspect might be connected to a previous robbery at the St. Louis Community Credit Union in Arnold.

Officers say in both crimes the suspect indicated he had a weapon in his waistband. There is a possiblity he's also connected to crimes in Ballwin and Fenton. But investigators say in those cases the suspect showed a gun.

The Arnold robbery was August 19. Monday’s robbery happened around 4:40 p.m. at the Electro Savings Credit Union at 12400 Tesson Ferry Road.

Authorities said the suspect waited in line Monday until his turn at the teller. He allegedly slid over a note demanding money, lifted his shirt to reveal what the teller believed to be the butt of a handgun. He ordered the teller to put the money in a manila envelope. The suspect then fled the scene with an undisclosed amount of cash.

Authorities said he fled in what was described as a small black vehicle.

He's described as a white male, 40-50 years old, 180-160 lbs, and 6 ft.

Anyone with information or who may be able to identify the person in the surveillance photos is requested to contact Det. Henry Schoemehl with the Ballwin Police at 636-207-2354 or Det. Ben Kloos with the St. Louis County Police at 314-615-8649.
