(KMOV) -- Family members tell News 4 that the body found floating in the Missouri River on Thursday morning is the body of Corey Moore.

Moore, 20, of O'Fallon, Missouri, was out fishing with four friends early Tuesday morning at the Weldon Spring Boat Ramp in St. Charles County when he went missing. The Missouri Water Patrol says that Moore went into the water and was swept away by the five-mile per hour current. Authorities believe alcohol was involved in this incident.

Moore's body was discovered around 7:00 a.m. on Thursday on the banks of the river near Sioux Passage Park. That’s in the 17900 block of Old Jamestown Road in St. Louis County.

Rick Eckhard of St. Louis County police says that the body was found by a barge worker.

Moore's family has set up a trust fund in his honor. Donations to the Corey Moore Memorial Fund can be made at any U.S. Bank location.
