(KMOV) -- Authorities said an early morning Chesterfield fire was caused by arsonists.
Flames broke out around 7:00 a.m. on Tuesday at the vacant Chesterfield Manor Nursing Home.
Dave Nichols with the Monarch Fire District tells News 4 that the building has been abandoned for several years. Investigators discovered piles of debris that were stacked and lit on fire.
According to Nichols, in the past kids have gone into the building to look around and there have been fires there before. None of the past fires have been as big as this one.
No injuries were reported.
