(KMOV)-Police are looking for a robber who held up a Commerce Bank in north St. Louis.
This happened around noon Thursday in the 4400 block of Natural Bridge.
Investigators said the susepct approached a teller to ask for change for $5. Then he spoke briefly with another employee about a business loan and then left. Moments later he returned and approached the same teller and asked for more change. This time when he placed the bills on the counter, he also passed a note with the words, Give me money or I will shoot. The robber never displayed a weapon but indicated he was carrying it on his side. The robber left through the front door after the teller gave him an undisclosed amount of money.
Investigators say a witness eating lunch outside saw the robber run across the street behind Imos Pizza and drove eastbound on Sacramento in a late model Blue Pontiac Grand Prix.
The robber is described as a skinny black male, around 61 - 62 tall. He was wearing a baseball cap with a large dollar sign symbol ($) in the center and smaller symbols all over. He was wearing a white t-shirt with dark color calf-length pants with draw strings at the bottom.
