Indians get Todd to complete trade

SEATTLE (AP) -- The Cleveland Indians have acquired right-handed pitcher Jess Todd from the St. Louis Cardinals to complete the trade that sent infielder Mark DeRosa to St. Louis.

The trade was completed on Sunday. Todd will be added to Cleveland's 40-man roster and report to Triple-A Columbus.

Todd has spent most of the 2009 season at Triple-A Memphis, where he was 4-2 and led the Pacific Coast League with 24 saves. Todd was the Cardinals' second-round pick in the 2007 amateur draft.

DeRosa was traded to the Cardinals on June 27 for right-handed pitcher Chris Perez.
