(KMOV) -- Three people face charges after Franklin County deputies found heroin at an apartment complex in Washington in late Sept.
Authorities said officers on Sept. 27 went to a an apartment in the 1400 block of East Fifth St. to arrest 32-year-old Robert Bell for several outstanding warrants.
Upon their arrival they saw Bell walking down the hallway. He was taken into custody.
Deputies said a woman, later identified as 21-year-old Mary Willis, then opened up the door to the apartment and officers saw drug paraphernalia out in plain sight.
Task force officers went into the apartment and found about one-quarter gram of heroin. A 26-year-old Washington man was also in possession of several capsules of suspected heroin.
Willis, who had an outstanding federal drug charge, and the unidentified man were also arrested.
Deputies said another man and woman who were delivering drugs at the apartment fled the scene after recognizing detectives. They remain at large.
