(KMOV.com) – An accident in Franklin County has claimed the lives of two adults, while two children are still in the hospital.
According to Missouri Highway Patrol, a 2004 Chevy Trailblazer was traveling westbound on Route AH near Interstate 44 when the driver lost control of the vehicle. The vehicle crossed the center line, the driver over-corrected the mistake causing the vehicle to exit the roadway. The vehicle then struck a rock and a tree.
The driver and passenger of the vehicle were pronounced dead at the scene of the crash. Two children, aged 10 and 13, were transported by air to Cardinal Glennon. Currently, the children are listed in serious condition.
Missouri Highway Patrol reports that all four passengers of the vehicle were not wearing their seat belts at the time of the accident.
