Four suspects charged in slew of Alton smash-and-grab burglaries

According to authorities, four suspects were charged Thursday in connection to several business and residential burglaries in Alton.

Shane J. Brown, 21, and Jariele Cox, 24, were each charged with five counts of burglary and one count of residential burglary.

Flaze L. Peoples, 20, was charged with one count of burglary.

Brittany L. Parker, 26, was charged with theft over $500.

Bonds for each suspect ranged from $15,000-$120,000.

Investigators determined the four suspects were responsible for burglaries at JC Penney, Macy's, Verizon, AT&T, Goulding's Jewelry Store, and two homes.

Peoples remains at large.

Anyone with information about these investigations or Peoples whereabouts is urged to call the Alton Police Department Investigations Bureau.

The investigation remains ongoing.
