(KMOV.com) -- Crews will break ground Saturday morning on major renovations at Jefferson Barracks.
According to the Department of Veterans Affairs, the renovations will make improvements to the VA Hospital and an expansion to the Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery.
The new plans are approved by Congress and cost $366 million.
Crews will demolish 13 buildings and build 5 new ones.
The VA said the new buildings will be designed and constructed with sustainability and the environment in mind.
