(KMOV.com) – Illinois Route 159 will be limited to one lane of traffic on Monday, September, 30.
The Illinois Department of Transportation plans to close Route 159 near High School Street in Collinsville on Monday beginning at 6:00 p.m. Traffic will be directed by IDOT workers with flags on when to pass through the work zone. IDOT expects to have both lanes of traffic back open by midnight.
The closure is necessary as IDOT installs a new water main across the road. This is part of a project to increase Route 159 to 5 lanes by fall of 2016.
Drivers are advised to take caution when driving through the work zone on Monday.
