LAKE ST. LOUIS, Mo. (KMOV.com) -- Police say a fugitive found hiding behind a secret pantry wall was one of two suspects wanted in connection to several area burglaries.

Lake St. Louis police say they found stolen purses and credit cards inside a lakefront home on Cannes Court. According to police, officers followed a fresh pair of footprints from a victim's home to the two suspects.

One suspect, Ross Langdon, reportedly led police to a secret stash of stolen goods concealed behind groceries on a pantry shelf.

Authorities say they recovered more than $9,000 of stolen merchandise, including iPads and computers. Behind a second hidden door, officers reportedly discovered a second suspect hiding. Derrick Mohr was hiding from police to avoid arrest for a felony drug warrant, authorities say.

"If you're building an entire area or planning out an entire area, it just tells me that the frequency at which you're doing this or conducting this behavior is ongoing, so you are planning for the future," said Lake St. Louis Police Capt. Chris DiGiuseppi.

Lake St. Louis police are now working with other municipalities to determine whether Langdon and Mohr targeted any other homes or cars in their alleged crime spree.
