VELDA VILLAGE HILLS, Mo. (KMOV.com) -- The Chairwoman of Velda Village Hills is wanted by police for misconduct as leader of the small municipality.
Beverly Hills Police, who are contracted to patrol the village, say Ruthesia Willis faces 5 counts of forgery.
The charges accuse Willis of taking county-seized properties and handing the deeds to individuals without village board approval.
They also accuse Willis of using $15,000 in village funds for tree trimming on her property without board approval.
Police say when they went arrest Willis on Friday, she was not at the house she claims to live in, or at village hall.
