ST. LOUIS, Mo. (KMOV.com) -- A judge has issued an injunction against the City of St. Louis less than a day after a lawsuit was filed to stop proceedings with its pension ordinance.
The injunction prevents the City from it's plan to replace the Fireman's Retirement System with a City-controlled retirement system that is scheduled to go into effect February 1, 2013.
This is the third injunction against the city in the last year regarding the fireman's retirement plan.
Judge Robert Dierker extended the injunction he issued in August against two City ordinances related to replacing FRS.
A lawyer representing the FRS believes a trial will take place in March or April.
