(KMOV) -- They're called the "Red Cross for animals," and they are going to be working closely with Jefferson County emergency management.
Noah's Wish helped house animals after Hurricane Katrina. The non-profit group worked in Louisiana for nearly two months and housed more than 2,000 animals.
The group has little experience in Missouri, but did assist when a fire damaged the animal shelter in West Plains in south-central Missouri.
