Wentzville: Man accused of embezzlement

ST. LOUIS (AP) -- A Wentzville man is facing 10 counts of wire fraud for allegedly embezzling more than $350,000 from his former employer.

A federal indictment was announced Thursday against 63-year-old Anthony Schrader. It alleges that from 2007 through 2009 Schrader stole from Creech Brothers Truck Brokerage Inc. of Troy. The U.S. Attorney's office says Schrader would create false invoices, submit them to the company for payment and then convert the checks to money orders payable to himself.

It alleges that Schrader spent and lost some of the money at a gambling casino.

Schrader did not have a phone listing, and it wasn't immediately clear if he had an attorney.
