(KMOV) -- Ameren customers in Illinois will see their bills increase, but it could have been a lot worse.
The power company requested a $162 million hike for its three subsidiaries in Illinois, but the state only approved less than 3 percent of that: $4.75 million.
Ameren said today's decision could impact the service it can provide.
