(KMOV) -- Police in Missouri caught a man they believe robbed a bank just an hour after he left the scene.

Authorities said they caught John David Farnell after he allegedly robbed the First Community National Bank of Cuba at about 10:35 a.m. Thursday.

Police said the 58-year-old man from Fulton, Mo., was pulled over Thursday in Phelps county about an hour later. Police found a handgun and money believed to be from the Bank of Cuba, and arrested Farnell.

The description used to find Farnell matched that of five previous bank robberies in Moberly, Sedalia, Rolla, Chillicothe and El Dorado Springs, but Farnell has not been charged for those crimes at this time.
