UNIVERSITY CITY, Mo. (AP/KMOV) -- Big Bend will re-open ahead of schedule after a huge sinkhole closed the busy intersection.
The southbound lanes of Big Bend Boulevard near Forest Park Parkway in University City were shut down Sunday because of the sinkhole. The road will re-open at 3 p.m. Thursday.
St. Louis County crews are still trying to figure out what caused the sinkhole, though one possibility is heavy rain that has hit the region over the past several days.
