(KMOV) -- About 30 concerned community members gathered on Wednesday night in Wellston to talk about the need to stop the violence and increase the peace.
A mother whose son was killed last Saturday while walking to the store emphasized the importance of bringing the violence to an end. "It is so painful. All of this needs to stop," said Yvette Peoples. "These kids don't know what they are doing, what they are tearing down. They don't understand. They don't have any remorse or anything. And I don't understand why."
Peoples' son was one of four people killed last weekend in St. Louis.
