KMOV -- The prayers of a Ferguson family were answered early Sunday morning when their 23-year-old daughter received a heart transplant.
Megan Moss is recovering at Barnes-Jewish Hospital after receiving a heart transplant early Sunday.
Moss has had heart problems since high school and recently, her condition started deteriorating at a rapid pace.
After Megan was moved to the transplant list, all the family could do was wait and pray for a heart. On Saturday, Megan was so sick the family was told she was too weak to receive a heart even if a donation became available.
"...Around 5 o'clock, God performed a miracle and she started getting better and then the real miracle came around 10 o'clock when they said we think we have a heart," said her father Wayne.
The Moss family says the transplant was a success and the heart, which was flown into Missouri from out of state, is working well.
Megan's father created a website to keep everyone following his daughter's story updated on her status.
