(KMOV) -- The truck driver responsible for a fatal wreck on Interstate 64 was released Friday.
Jeffrey Knight was released after he pled guilty to three counts of involuntary manslaughter in exchange for a year sentence.
In July of 2008, Knight was distracted by his cell phone when he slammed into stalled traffic. Three people died in the wreck.
A judge issued the release today for time already served.
