FERGUSON, Mo. (KMOV.com) – Police - and officials with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives - are investigating a shooting in Ferguson that happened on Friday afternoon.
Authorities told News 4 that ATF agents were undergoing surveillance of a car near the intersection of Ferguson Avenue and West Florissant at the Park Ridge Apartments they believed belonged to a suspect that allegedly burglarized a federal fire arm gun dealer Thursday. ATF officials said a significant number of handguns and long guns were stolen from the All Star Pawn Store in Wentzville.
Agents said the suspects rammed their car into an ATF vehicle and then turned a corner to attempt to hit another ATF car when the agents in that car fired shots at the suspects. No one was struck with any bullets, but one suspect did sustain injuries as a result of ramming the vehicle.
According to officials, one gun was recovered at the scene and three suspect were taken into custody. Charges could be filed Monday.
