ST. LOUIS (KMOV.com) – Authorities are investigating after several cars were broken into in the Lindenwood Park neighborhood overnight.

According to police, 11 cars parked at the Lindenwood School apartment building, located on McCausland near Jamieson, were broken into. They say the vehicles were parked on a fenced-in parking lot.

Sunglasses, loose change, purses and gym bags are just some of the items that were taken from the vehicles.

A neighbor, who has lived in the area for 20 years, told News 4 that her car has been broken into three times in the last year. She says she sees no patrols and something must be done.  The woman says she used to leave her door unlocked but now warns her neighbors to keep everything locked at all times.
