(KMOV.com) – Authorities said a man is facing charges for allegedly robbing a BP gas station in south St. Louis.
31-year-old Roosevelt Yancy has been charged with attempted robbery and armed criminal action. Authorities said Yancy pulled out a gun as he walked up to the counter at a BP gas station on south Grand.
According to police, the manager behind the counter then pulled out a gun and hit Yancy three times. Yancy is still in a hospital due to the shooting.

ST. LOUIS, Mo. (KMOV.com) – Police were called to the scene of a shooting in south St. Louis Sunday morning.
The incident occurred in the 3100 block of South Grand around 1:30 a.m.
Police say a 30-year-old man walked into a BP gas station armed with a gun in an attempt to rob the store.
The clerk then pulled out his gun and fired twice, hitting the suspect in the legs, according to police.
The suspect was taken to a hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
