ST. LOUIS, Mo. (KMOV.com) -- Groups of protesters gathered at several locations in south St. Louis and Ferguson Saturday.
Demonstrators gathered at the intersection of Shaw and Klemm where an off-duty St. Louis police officer shot and killed 18-year-old Vonderrit Myers on Wednesday.
The protest was peaceful, but St. Louis Metropolitan Police say 17 arrests were made for unlawful assembly on the parking lot of the QuickTrip at 904 S. Vandeventer.
Protesters also returned to Ferguson for more demonstrations at the Ferguson Police Department where there was a heavy police presence.
Police say rocks and bottles were thrown at officers and some were spit at. However, there were no reports of officer injuries or damage to property.
More protests are planned for Sunday.
