(KMOV.com) – There was a heavy police presence Friday night in the Shaw neighborhood in south St. Louis.
There were no reports of problems with protesters and police say no one was arrested.
That peaceful night was a change from the violence and vandalism in the Shaw neighborhood on Thursday.
St. Louis Police Chief Sam Dotson says when it comes to demonstrations any physical contact with officers or the public will not be tolerated.
Local clergy members will also be watching the situation closely.
Protests come after police say an off-duty officer shot and killed 18-year-old Vonderrit Myers after the teen fired three shots at the officer.
