Man accused of inappropriate contact with child said to be in Metro-East
Coy Blackburn, 64, is accused of inappropriately touching a young boy. In 1993 he was convicted of sexually abusing a five-year-old child and served eight years in prison. By Ruella Rouf
(KMOV.com) – Police said they are searching for a man who is said to have inappropriately touched a young boy in Madison County.
Authorities said Coy Blackburn, 64, inappropriately touched the boy, who is under 13-years-old, as the boy ?was trying to gather aluminum cans. After the incident, the boy ran off and met some friends. Blackburn then drove up to them and allegedly tried coaxing the boy into his vehicle.
Investigators said the victim's parents had a casual relationship with Blackburn, but likely did not know about his past that includes a 1993 conviction for sexually abusing a 5-year-old child. Blackburn served eight years in prison for that conviction.
After searching his home off Chain of Rocks Road in Madison County, police found nothing. Investigators believe Blackburn may be hiding in the Metro-East.
