LINCOLN COUNTY, Mo. (KMOV.com) -- A Foley, Missouri man was arrested Sunday evening after he allegedly struck a woman driving the car he and two children were riding in, causing it to crash.
A Lincoln County Sheriff’s deputy drove upon a car resting in a ditch along Highway 47 at Cuivre Valley Drive Sunday evening. When the deputy got out of his vehicle to help the driver, Adam Self, 28, of Foley, allegedly threatened the officer and told the officer to shoot him. Self, who was reportedly screaming profanities, was holding an infant at the time.
The female driver told police Self had been drinking heavily and became argumentative on their drive home. He then became physically combative, striking the woman and grabbing the steering wheel of the car, leading to the crash.
The woman suffered a facial laceration, but the infant and a 7-year-old girl were not harmed.
Self is charged with two counts of Felony Endangering the Welfare of a Child and Misdemeanor Domestic Assault. Self is currently housed at the Lincoln County Jail.
