ST. LOUIS (KMOV.com) – Authorities are searching for two suspects accused of stealing a purse from a woman as she was standing on the front porch of her South City home Sunday night.
According to police, the 47-year-old victim was standing on her front porch when she saw the suspects exit out of her north gangway. The victim told police she believes the suspects were attempting to break into her house at the time.
The victim says the suspects approached her and demanded her property. One of the suspects indicated he had a gun, but the victim did not see any weapons.
The woman gave the suspects her purse and they fled on foot.
Police say it appeared the victim’s rear basement window was shattered, however it appeared entry had not been made and nothing was taken from the home.
One suspect is described as being between 5-foot-6 and 5-foot-8, 30 to 40-years-old, heavy set, wearing a grey hooded sweatshirt and dark jeans. The second suspect is described as being approximately 40-years-old, 120 to 140 pounds. Police say the second suspect was wearing all black at the time of the robbery.
