(KMOV.com) – Officials say four people were injured when a gust of wind knocked over scaffolding at a safety fair for Ameren Employees.
St. Louis City Fire Department officials say the incident happened at 1901 Chouteau Avenue shortly before 1:00 p.m. They also say one minor and one adult were transported for injuries.
"Our thoughts are with each of these members of the Ameren family who were affected by this incident," said Ameren Vice President Dennis Weisenborn.
The National Weather Service said the winds gusted up to 35 miles per hour. The fair was closed early because of the accident.
