ST. LOUIS (KMOV.com) – Anyone with an arrest warrant for a traffic ticket in St. Louis can have it canceled by applying for a new court date.

For the next three months, traffic offenders can get a new court date to face the charges against them without being charged for the new date.

Anyone on the city’s list will get a postcard in the mail with instructions on how to handle the change. Those who have moved can search to see if they are on the list through the municipal court’s website.

The new court date applies to those with non-moving traffic violations, meaning DWI, DUI’s or anyone who left the scene of an accident will not be able to apply for a forgiven warrant.

The city says this is not an amnesty, only a way for the warrant to be forgiven.
